The Board of Directors are pleased to announce that the fall conference this year will be a joint 43rd CLRA/ACRSD National Conference and AGM, along with our ARC2018 conference.
The conference will kick off on Monday, October 15th with a pre-conference field tour of the largest mine reclamation project in New Brunswick. Glencore Canada Corporation has agreed to host our field tour and will highlight almost 10 years of remediation work. The field tour will commence from the NBCC campus at 11:00 a.m. Monday. The field tour will be followed by an evening Meet and Greet that will start at 7:00 p.m. at the host hotel – Rodd Inns. NOTE: A previously scheduled river cruise Meet and Greet had to be cancelled due to a decision to rebuild the waterfront wharf this fall. This will be followed by two days of technical sessions, a National AGM meeting and a Gala Awards dinner. In addition, a field trip to a peatland restoration project will take place on October 18 and is conveniently located on the route taking participants back from the Miramichi area. If anyone is interested in assisting in the conference planning, feel free to contact any one of the Board Members and we will include you on the planning committee. Volunteers are always welcome!
